The JT-NM Tested Program returns to IBC 2022 and will again offer documented insight into how vendor equipment conforms to specific SMPTE standards, AMWA NMOS specifications and selected real-world scenarios. As on previous occasions, the JT-NM is publishing the JT-NM Tested Catalog, which lists vendor results and also contains test plans executed by the JT-NM Tested Team in Wuppertal, Germany in August of 2022 at Riedel.
Benefits to end users:
They will find it easier to identify which products conform to key parts of SMPTE standards and AMWA NMOS specifications.
They will be able to make more confident purchasing decisions from the vendors whose products conform.
Benefits to vendors:
There will be public recognition that their products meet the criteria established by the JT-NM.
Tested products will receive the appropriate badges and inclusion in catalogs of tested products.
Vendors may use the badges and make statements in marketing materials to encourage sales of their products.
It is important to note that the JT-NM Tested Program is not a certification program; rather it is a snapshot in time of how vendor equipment conforms to key parts of SMPTE standards, AMWA NMOS specifications and selected real-world scenarios.
Results from the JT-NM Tested 2022 program are available for download below.
The JT-NM Tested Program (September 2019)
The JT-NM Tested program for IBC 2019 adds testing for NMOS/JT-NM TR-1001 in addition to SMPTE ST 2110 testing. The NAB 2019 program only covered ST 2110.
The JT-NM Tested program offers prospective purchasers of IP-based equipment greater, more documented insight into how vendor equipment aligns with open industry standards; specifically SMPTE ST 2110, SMPTE ST 2059, and JT-NM TR-1001-1 including AMWA NMOS IS-04 and IS-05. IS-08 was also tested.
For IBC, there are two JT-NM Tested Catalogs. One for ST 2110, and the other for NMOS/JT-NM TR-1001-1. The catalogs document the test procedures, test equipment and results of the JT-NM Tested event that was held during the week of August 19, 2019 at Riedel Communications in Wuppertal, Germany. This program is not a certification program; rather it is a snapshot in time of how vendor equipment conforms to key parts of SMPTE standards, providing prospective purchasers and users with a reference as they begin their equipment evaluation and qualification process.
